I dont like that because its not connected to your calendar page in SquareSpace so it would be double entry.
I kind of lean towards this idea (using your Barn Events Google calendar and not my personal calendar). It is still not connected to your Events page it comes with alot of other features and automation.
Privacy- Others only see the date is not available.
Consolidation- The request form is included in the booking calendar.
Semi—automated Flow: They request the date, it sends an email to you and a copy to them, and then you would contact them to tell them if they can actually have it or not. If you tell them No, then you just hit Cancel in the booking.
I think this option would give us the most chance of automation of sending emails, seeing the calendar on our phones, etc. We may also be able to change the code if we need to adjust the way it shows on the page.
For some bigger, more public events, you could still manually prepare a news page on your site. And I can look into some ways to take the description from the booking form to create the announcement more easily.
